Centric is leading the master planning effort for Rock Harbor Marina—one of the few marinas located within Nashville’s urban core. Envisioned as a vibrant neighborhood hub, the marina is designed to serve both local residents and visitors arriving by water from across the region.
The plan prioritizes river-based recreation, transportation, and meaningful interaction between people and the waterfront. Activating the shoreline while strengthening connections to the water is central to the design vision.
Alongside the creation of dynamic public spaces, the master plan also addresses the complex logistical and infrastructural challenges of modernizing the site to meet the evolving needs of Nashville’s growing population.
Rooted in the site’s heritage, the marina will foster a distinct sense of place—welcoming to the local community and appealing to a broader audience. The project was awarded funding through Metro Nashville’s Tactical Urbanism Program to enhance street presence and beautify the surrounding neighborhood.
The vision includes multifamily residential development, a structured parking garage, expanded programming on the water, food and beverage offerings, and retail spaces. Community-focused amenities such as pedestrian pathways, public walkways, and a shared boathouse further support the site’s role as an inclusive, active destination along the river.
