Clarcor purchased a 63,000 SF warehouse in Columbia to house their new innovation center. The large warehouse was converted to contain a myriad of laboratories to test fibers produced for Clarcor products.  All spaces were temperature and humidity sensitive. Chemical scrubbers, vibration isolation for microscopes, and 3d printing areas were also created. A new second story mezzanine was extended to house several of the laboratories. New HVAC, electrical systems, and lighting were added.

The main office area was partially redone with new bathrooms to create a space for employees. The state of the art laboratories and testing areas are meant to attract and maintain talent in the development of new products and fibers. A future phase of expansion has been planned as the use of the labs grows.
