Arcade at the Annex is a 60-unit building located within an 18-acre master planned development. The master plan itself, and this project, underwent Specific Plan zoning with the Metro Planning Department in 2015, including multiple neighborhood meetings.

The site and its surroundings had previously been home to large industrial uses and due to infrastructure and how the area developed over time, the streetscape and pedestrian experience were neglected. Over time, as the city expanded and the neighborhood grew up around them, this was no longer the best use for this property. The new uses incorporate green spaces around a future greenway; and development of Vernon Avenue as a core, walkable street in the neighborhood.

The 60 units will be three stories of wood construction with outdoor corridors and breezeways. The lower level will include some townhouse style live-work units, as well as 4500 SF of amenity space, office, and a storage area for residents. As the neighborhood continues to develop, it is planned for a section of this amenity and storage area to transition to more commercial uses.
