Melrose site eyed for condo building

A five-story condominium building is planned for a site located near the intersection of Gale Lane and Eighth Avenue South in Melrose.

According to a permit application, the 57-unit residential structure will offer an address of 825 Gale Lane, which sits adjacent to the Gale Lofts Apartments.

The building, to offer 72,000 square feet, will be called The Forsythe and also offers a lobby and a swimming pool.

Metro records note Domus Development Group LLC owns the 1.2-acre property, which seemingly last accommodated V & K Masonry Contractors. The LLC, which paid $2.35 million for the property in October 2024, is affiliated with Nashville-based Domus Real Estate Agency. 

Domus officials could be reached regarding a construction timeline and general contractor, among other details. 

Nashville-based Centric Architecture will handle the design of The Forsythe, the permit notes.
