Jakob Mikres

A Middle-Tennessee native, Jakob studied architecture at UT and has been drawn to shaping thoughtful, place-based design ever since. His career spans everything from community-focused projects to large, complex institutional buildings in locations ranging from Washington to Australia, with a focus on making them both resilient and high-performing.

At Centric, Jakob brings a balance of big-picture thinking and technical follow-through, always looking for ways to elevate design while staying grounded in a strong sense of place. He is also committed to sustainability and is WELL and LEED accredited. He is connected to the Nashville community through the ACE mentorship program, and AIA Middle Tennessee.

Outside the office, he stays busy cooking, logging miles on his road bike, or taking his miniature dachshund out for neighborhood laps.
